PERFORMANCE

Tommy has performed in countless classical, jazz and rock groups.

Classical groups have ranged from duos to entire woodwind ensembles playing flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, & alto / tenor / baritone saxophones.

He is currently the tenor saxophonist with the swing combo Blue Sky 5, the Craig Gildner Big Band and Flashback a local Washington Rock, Soul & Funk Band.

Prior to joining Blue Sky 5 in 1999, he led his own jazz trio, quartet, and sextet playing at such venues as The Saloon and The City Blues Café.

Additionally he was the baritone saxophonist with the Tom Cunningham Orchestra for nearly a decade.

Tommy has toured across the United States and played in Amsterdam as a regular member of The Bud Forrest Orchestra’s “In The Mood” show.

He has freelanced with boogie woogie pianist Darly Davis and with numerous big bands…

Doc Scantlin & His Imperial Palms Orchestra, The Richard Bray Orchestra, The New Columbia Swing Orchestra

Doug Bowles and his Singco Rhythm Orchestra, and The Brooks Tegler Big Band.
